So I took it apart and found the battery, took it out for a minute, reassembled the whole thing and tried again. Power came on, but nothing changed. Black screen still. Bout to tell my sister she is SOL haha.

I can't get into the BIOS, black screen remember? Anyways I didn't see the CMOS battery under the panels, only the HDD and RAM.

So I found this: Acer Aspire V5-552G-X852. It looks like it has pretty awesome specs and its only $100 more than I was aiming for. Do you think its a good deal for $595? Really the only bad thing I could see was the lack of a backlit keyboard, which is kinda disappointing. I'm guessing I'm not...

Is it a more updated model or something? It looks like the GPU isn't as powerful. But then again if it is $700 vs $480... So do you think it is the best bang for the buck that's within my price range I could get as far as a gaming laptop would go?
