Thanks. So basically that port is a dud? My only option would be to swap out the existing SSD with a larger size? Such a waste.

I opened up the PC to see slots on motherboard for upgrading 256GB SSD (M.2 card). I noticed a free slot right near SSD1 slot labeled HDD1. Is there a way to utilize HDD1 slot instead of swapping out the current SSD? (e.g. keep 256 SSD and use HDD1 slot in addition). Would need to know specs...
