i5 vs i3 (same specs, just price difference)

@genthug they're both actually 2C/4T chips - any mobile CPU that ends in "u" is a dual-core, even i7. The difference is the i5's 2.8GHz turbo speed. Benchmarks put the i5 about 10-11% ahead, which is I presume represents the average of the fluctuations in the clock speed with the i5's turbo.

i5 vs i3 (same specs, just price difference)

The difference between those 2 CPUs is very small and you'd probably never notice it. Not only is the difference between the 2 CPUs around 10% at most, but your gaming performance is going to be mainly GPU-bound with a 940mx.

    Laptop Performance Difference

The difference would be noticable in Civilization: Beyond Earth. At 1080P Medium the Dell will be at around 40fps, while the HP will be at 15-20fps.

    Laptop Performance Difference

It's a huge difference. The i7 6500u is a dual-core while the i7 6700HQ is a quad core. The GTX 960M would also beat the snot out of the 940M. The Dell literally has 2X the CPU and 3X the GPU power.

    Losing Battery Charge While Gaming

With an i7 and dedicated GPU, you're using power faster than the charger can charge it.

    new laptop underperforming

4GB of RAM is not enough for GTA5 - that's what is causing it to be choppy. You need at least 8GB for GTA5, and GTA5 will use all of it, so 16GB would really be ideal.

    Streaming Laptop - Budget = 1000$

This would be my pick. You're going to want a laptop with at least a 4C/4T, or 4C/8T CPU: https://www.amazon.com/15-6-inch-Notebook-i7-6700HQ-Affordable-Computer/dp/B01FN66MSE/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_30?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=CXPCXFBM2PTR9J24V5DT

    i5-630hq+desktop(?) 950 2gb or fx-8800p+r9 m385 4gb?

I would still want if for the i7 CPU.

    i5-630hq+desktop(?) 950 2gb or fx-8800p+r9 m385 4gb?

The i7-6300HQ with the desktop GTX 950 is a lot faster.

I mostly play FPS, MOBA, RTS and Simulation games what monitor is better for me?

You have to look up it's specs from the manufacturer's website.

I mostly play FPS, MOBA, RTS and Simulation games what monitor is better for me?

I would get the IPS panel. They have much more vibrant colors. And even though I've been playing first-person shooters for 25 years, I'm still not good enough at them for a 1ms vs 4ms monitor response time to really affect me. :)

Amd quad core A10 or intel i7

The i7 is FAR superior. At least 2X faster CPU and faster integrated graphics as well with the 6th gen.

There is no practical way to upgrade the GPU in your laptop - you'll need a whole new laptop if you want to upgrade.
