I've looked into it and there's a program called Easy Recovery Essentials that says it will repair any corrupted files in the harddrive but I can't afford, It's $20, and I'm still a student, do you think you can sen me a link to an alternative or to a crack version of it?

Sorry for the late reply as I have been busy, but yes, it does seem to go to pitch black screen then turns off. That's what I observed

It does not boot up completely, it just stays in the ASUS logo then turns off
