The driver could have corrupted, it happens. Did he bother to go to apples website and re download the drivers?

Try a new charger.

Try to use the laptop with the battery out and the charger plugged in. Do you get any lights on the charging LED on the laptop? If you do not, try a new charger, if that does not work you probably have a faulted port on your laptop.

I have a Elitebook 8540p... well I have 4 of them. 3 of them work as of now, but one had the same problem and I fixed it by pressing "POWER+F4" to turn it on. So here is the case, the laptop wont turn on. Tried new batteries, power supply etc. Removed Memory, CMOS battery. Nothing is doing...
