looking for a laptop for around $300 that will only be used to surf the web

Ive build 2 pc's before and i wanted to try to build a gaming laptop however i'm not sure how the hardware for laptops work and where and what parts to buy. if someone could tell me a little about laptop hardware and give me some sources to read up on that would be great

Wait the mic clips on to the headset so it's pretty much a 1 peice headset? If so I'll defiantly buy these headsets aslong as they work well for gaming

Mostly audio but I don't want my friends eardrum to burst when I try to talk to them, also I want the mic to not pick up my fan, cat ext. however I was woundering if 7.1 surround sound is any good or if it's one of those marketing schems for ppl that don't know about headphones
