Thanks. How can I tell if the cable is simply loose or if it's broken? And where is the cable and what does it look like? Need to be comfortable knowing what to do/look for before I open the laptop again. Thanks.

Had a loose screen connection on my HP Pavillion G7 (image disppeared when screen was moved to certain positions). So took apart laptop. Didn't change anything (couldn't find screen connector). Put everything back together. Now, laptop still works BUT don't see anything on screen. Can see...
