    Did you flash the kernel that came with the ROM you installed? If not, find the kernel (boot.img) on the forum tyread of the ROM.

    If you live in the States, go with the Moto G. Great little phone, VERY cheap with Android 4.3. It will probably get an update to 4.4 as well.
