You could get a new battery on amazon for $10, or you could get a new camera. I recommend getting a new camera, since the s3100 isn't very good.

Do I need a camera case and why? Without a case, I would just carry it around my neck; I don't need to carry it for a long distance, usually just from my car to a building. Would I just need a case for transport so the camera doesn't roll around in the car? If I should get a case, which one...
