Hello there,
You could go into safe mode & hit reset this laptop if you're on Windows 10, by using F8 or Shift + F8.
When you're on an older version of windows you might want to do the following:
- Burn any Windows software onto a disk.
- Insert the disk into your laptop.
- Once you come on...
Try with any sound driver.
This one for example: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false .
Good luck :p
Hello there,
Also has this issue, I bought a new Hard Drive (30 USD) plugged it in & reinstalled windows myself.
If webworkings' idea doesn't work, you might want to try this.
It was a cheap fix for me, thought it'd cost a lot more, good luck!
Hello there,
So I basicly bought a laptop with an i3 with socket PGA989 on it.
I also bought an i7 because I didn't want to stick with an i3 but misread the specs a bit.
The socket type on the i7 is PGA988.. Would this be compatible?
