Interesting idea. I will have to check out the Linux idea. I figure it will cost me more than $100 to get a new BIOS chip soldered.

I updated the BIOS on my G510 and after a restart it no longer recognizes the hdd. Accessing the BIOS is doable but it will crash sometimes. Now startup just tells me that IPv4 and IPv6 have failed to boot. I can boot to USB but it will only recognize Ubuntu and not Windows for some reason...
