    A water powered turbine is a great idea! Canals don't have currents though, so I'm not sure if it would provide enough power

    So I live on a narrowboat, which means power can be tricky. When we aren't using the inverter, we're restricted to 12V sockets. I really need to use my laptop regularly, but as is, I can charge my laptop for an hour or two a day which gives me about an hour of use. I realise that the battery...
