Solved! Looking for an alternative way to power my Alienware M15X

So I live on a narrowboat, which means power can be tricky. When we aren't using the inverter, we're restricted to 12V sockets. I really need to use my laptop regularly, but as is, I can charge my laptop for an hour or two a day which gives me about an hour of use. I realise that the battery might be a bit knackered, but even then a new battery would only give me a couple more hours with it given that I need to run programs like photoshop and tv paint.
How could I power my laptop in a way that would give me a good 6+ hours a day with it? Is there some kind of heavy duty power bank that I could invest in? Or some way to utilise the 12V sockets?
I should also add that portability isn't an option because I use laptops like desktops anyway.
Thank you!

This is just a matter of capacity.

Given enough battery, you can run it for days.
Of course, to keep those batteries charged, you need some big honkin input.
Generator, big solar panels, wind...
Since you're in a boat, maybe some water power turbine.

Sure. Lots have people have built chargers based on a bike.
But you're gonna have to do a LOT of pedaling.

Average human can do a continuous 75watts output on a bike.
Charging up the laptop battery for a couple hours use will mean pedaling all day long. Several hours.

Can you run a laptop from that? Sure.
Once you get it charged up after the first time...
