It didn't make my phone boot into a recovery menu or anything. I'm not sure if i'm doing this right.

My Galaxy S2 will not turn on completely. It will say "SAMSUNG", then loading bar with the name of the phone and then it completely shuts off by itself (with one white line horizontally across the screen). It will then continuously do this until I remove the battery. I tried pressing the volume...
