My Galaxy S2 will not turn on completely. It will say "SAMSUNG", then loading bar with the name of the phone and then it completely shuts off by itself (with one white line horizontally across the screen). It will then continuously do this until I remove the battery. I tried pressing the volume up+down button with the power button, but it will shut off before i could reboot or factory reset. Is there any way for solving this without going out to get it repaired?

Sounds like the HBOOT is messed up.

Do you have the Android Developers Kit installed on your PC?

Download and install it if not, then open the SDK manager and install the Google USB Driver, Platform Tools, and ADB.

Once done, launch ADB by browsing to the Platform Tools folder, holding shift, and right clicking, then selecting "open command window here."

Once the ADB shell is open, plug your phone into a USB port and unplug the battery. Upon re-inserting it, ADB should boot it into the recovery menu automatically and be recognized on the PC as "fastboot USB."

From there you should be able to use the recovery options on the phone itself.

I don't see "ADB" in the Android SDK manager :(
