Resolved it by deleting the audio source, disabling HDMI control on the DVD system and reconfiguring anynet+ to use digital audio out.

I'm trying to figure out what happened to my configuration. Initially I ran setup and the smart hub remote was able to control the volume on the home theater receiver (sony davx-576 I think) while watching cable set top box. The autoupdate ran, and now I can't figure out how to get the remote...
