I think the problem was there to begin with, when I first bought the computer. Is there a way of not backing up windows but just the programs and my files etc.?

Guys, thanks for all the replies, but I'm not looking for how to solve the issue. I'm simply asking whether restoring from a backup will bring back the issue if it's a software issue. For example, if ASUS reinstalls the windows on my PC and I restore from backup, will this problem recur?

Also, not a heat problem. Checked with RealTemp, as well as the fact that it also shuts down when completely idle and cool.
