    Well my grandparents bought me a shiny new pair of beats by dre solo hd. I have no intent on listening to music with these, but I was wondering if they could work for gaming. Do they have good directional audio so I can hear footsteps, gunshots, ect.

    I was wondering if my Beats by dre solo HD would work for gaming. I am willing to pay $40 for a new mic and am wondering if it would be more beneficial to spend the $40 on a gaming headset with a built in microphone
