    i dont know what the article is talking about. I have an Envy 15 and have no issues with it. My screen does not go blank and i dont even use the webcam. The only thing i dont like about it is the keyboard quick launch buttons on the left.

    the cpu's from all my old laptops can be removed, its easier than removing the plastic casing. Im pretty sure the upgrade would work, but u should probably email gateway and see if your bios supports the q9000.
