Man, that is crappy support for a $24,000 HP computer.
I've gotten better service from Lenovo for a $900 notebook. I've even gotten to talk to a live tech within minutes just to ask a tech question about a model.
I've had Samsung CALL me back because I was on hold for over 2-3 minutes... Yep, someone asked for my number because their call-center was very busy and said they will cal me back which they did.
Dell, with their gold service, had to work with some idiots (sometimes someone with a brain) - Warranty was for 20" CRTs - that were Dell-Trinitron, $700+ brand new... since one failed on a dual-display system, replacement required two matching monitors because of the bezels. Since they no longer had any to replace - then sent two crappy CRTs - unacceptable, so they switched for free LCDs. But it was bottom of the end Dell LCDs without DVI and the picture quality was pure crap. Had to chew them out to send us quality monitors. I didn't give a rats-ass about "LCD replaces CRTs" - We bought expensive monitors, we want quality back.
So in our office, at one point - we had 4~5 huge boxes of CRTs and 4 LCDs that needed to be shipped back... because they had sent the junkie LCDs twice.
HP - had one tech from India that was getting *MAD* at me because I couldn't understand WTF he was saying? WTF?! SPEAK the language better! WE're calling from the USA.
Why the USA is in trouble:
- Manufacturing moved over-seas, lower labor costs. USA loses jobs.
- Tech/science/developement jobs moves over seas. USA loses jobs.
- Service / Support (call center) jobs moves over seas, USA loses jobs.
- Carl's Jr & Jack in the Box install automated machines to take orders.
So, if theres no manufacturing, service, tech or fast-food jobs, then WHAT do we do for work to BUY stuff with, pay bills, build cars, etc?
