What do you mean the Lid of the Hard Drive? Are you referring to the bottom case of the laptop? Or are you talking about dismantling the hard drive it self?

What were your fps before dropping the laptop? Check to make sure you still have 8GB of RAM being detected. Also, check the temperatures as well to see if your having any thermal throttling. Once you do this turn the laptop off and lightly shake it to see if anything had came loose.

Are you on a laptop? What is your Specs? Does it cut on? What exactly is it doing?

Do you have a 2011 13" MBP or 15" MBP and what are the specs? This could possibly be a bad GPU. Try hooking your MacBook to an external monitor to test the GPU.

Make sure that the charging port wasn't left unplugged. I have found it helps to unscrew the charging port and plug the charger up to make sure the charger lines up correctly with the charging port. Also, try unplugging the battery and try powering on while using just the charger.
