Ok, so I got windows 7 to reinstall, but there are now faint blue vertical lines all down the page. Under device manager, there is no graphics driver installed. When I tried to dl the Nvidia driver the site said was compatible, it crashed and froze everything and I had to install windows AGAIN...

The windows install disk is NOT loading

Ok, so lets say it is NOT the nvidia video card, but the driver. How do I get past the startup repair screen to get the windows 7 disk to work? If I cant get in, I cant fix the issue

It is very possible that the video driver needs to be reinstalled, but if I cant get past the repair screen or the lines, I cant get to where I can fix it

As I said, the screen had the same result. Just fine until it tried to start up past the logo, then it was covered in vertical lines. Startup repair cannot repair automatically. Repair disk isnt working. Using restore ponts also not working.

I did.

I was thinking the graphics driver, and the fact that the option to restore the comp to an earlier point was disabled months ago

Except its a laptop, so there is no reaching wires under the keyboard
