Is Macbook Pro good for me?

Indeed, an i7 is unnecessary for everything that doesn't need heavy multithreading. A 4th gen i5 would be a much better choice, imho. Battery life of most ultrabooks is reasonable to very good. But if you can afford it, by all means buy a Macbook. They're very good hardware, I'm just no great...

Looks like you already made up your mind, and I agree it is the best choice out of the two. Still, i voted 'other' because that i7 is extreme overkill. An i5 is perfect for gaming. Also, sli may give you slightly better graphics, it will suck a lot more from you battery. Of course that is no...

    What to buy?

If you're trying to play on max resolution with ultra settings, that makes sense. Not much notebooks can do that. Try some lower settings or resolutions and fps should rocket up.

Is Macbook Pro good for me?

The applebasher in me says "of course not, it's a macbook!" :p But now the more reasonable approach: why do you need a dualboot? I'm a webdevelopper myself and I only use linux. Also, an i7 is a bit overkill unless you plan on video editing or heavy 3D rendering. Those two points will do...

    Inspiron 2200 battery help

I believe laptops have one or more voltages they're compatible with, so I'd check before you plug it in.
