I would assume it is locked to only AT&T. I sold one about 6 months ago. It was a 4s. I used ebay. It sold for $100 (which I was pleasantly surprised). Make sure you factory reset it before shipping it! You will not need to remove the SIM because the factory reset wipes it anyways.

If you are interested in editing and have not used any advanced software before, I highly recommend Google Picasa. It's free and allows you to do basic editing. Once you get the hang of that you can move up to a more advanced program.

check out getting a Chromebook. They run around $200. If you plan on running a bunch of programs, you'll need an external hard drive. Most Chromebooks only come with 16 or 32gb internal SSD memory.

For video editing, I'd say minimum of 4. If you have a 32bit operating system, that'll be your max. If you have a 64bit operating system, you can go above that. If it's high def video, the more RAM the better.

RAM addition would be a simple, inexpensive performance boost for video editing.
