Headset for Gaming and music (<170$)

Roccat has a less premium feel but they have decent (not great, but good audio).

Headset for Gaming and music (<170$)

I agree with ben on this one. Though I would like to note Sennheiser makes some very durable stuff, it's kind of their trade mark to have high build quality and excellent audio. But analog audio is the way to go with surround.

Gaming laptop - Is this worth the price?

Its actually pretty much on par with the one you were originally looking at. The main difference is in the GPU. The 950M vs the 960M at a $50 increase. It actually has a year or two longer lifespan before newer games render it unsatisfying going with the Asus.

Gaming laptop - Is this worth the price?

For your needs this is way overkill. Regardless you should always buy the best for your money, if you ever plan on playing other games this is better bang for your buck...

power consumption if using gaming laptop for simple tasks

With switchable graphics unless your running high performance 3-d applications such as adobe, 3ds maya, autodesk; you will likely be using the Intel HD IGPU which will drastically reduce power usage and produce lower temps. In short yes. To ellaborate, the coolers are designed to keep it cool...

AMD 8650G+8670M Dual Graphics Drivers Question

There realistically are no benefits, it was an interesting aspect of some AMD cards though. The mobile versions of AMD are usually based on their workstation cards, the r9 290m is a prime example. For laptops with switchable graphics the best option is the laptop manufacturer driver instead...

    Cant open Switchable Graphics

I cant view the video right now, but have you checked CCC to see if the option to add the game is available? Also note your going to need the driver from HP in order to control them, neither AMD or Nvidia support switchable graphics.

Lenovo vs HP laptop for gaming?

The 5005u performs within 2% of the 4722hq, but uses nearly half the power, so in terms of battery life the Lenovo wins hands down with out sacrificing CPU performance. However the M275 is only half the performance of the 950m in any situation. If performance is the real concern here and battery...

looking to replace headset for headphone plus mic combo (pc gaming)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AJ2SN4291 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836431002 Heres my recommendation for your headphones and mic. The reason for the mic is you are going to want more dynamic noise isolation than the modmic can offer.

Alienware 15 1421slv VS Asus ROG g751jl-ds71 For gaming

Laptop i5's are dual core with hyperthreading, so they will suffer a penalty in performance with gaming. $200 more for a CPU that (in laptops) is $180 more and an extra $100 worth of more RAM. Totally worth it. I've never put much stake in Dell, they tend to use cheap PCB material and have...
