Acer will be releasing Broadwell laptops, but the weak GPU isn't worth it. If you don't immediately require a computer, I would wait for the other manufacturers to release their machines.

The Dell computer would have the most bangf or your buck. An extra USB 3.0 port isn't worth 80$.

Hmm, now that I think about it, 12 GB would totally be fine:) I could take a 4 GB stick out and put it in my old laptop which currently has only 4 GB of RAM.

That doesn't have a dedicated GPU. The 840M would be much better than the integrated graphics.
