£365 budget for a laptop

What I want to be using it for:

Light gaming. (shogun 2/rome2)
Office Suite (I get that free from school)
Email
Watching anime


What I'm looking for in features:

Fast bootup time. (SSD would be lovely!)
Fast in general, if it isn't I can always go to linux however
Pretty lightweight
Not a gayass design, keep it slim

I went on here and it looks like a steal deal but the website might be untrusted/it's refurbished but it has an A1 grade.

For the price, you can't go wrong. This laptop will be great for movies and most other functions, and will actually play lower-spec games at respectable framerates due to the GeForce 820M graphics card. Due to the refurbished status of the laptop, you only get a 3-month warranty by default. I highly recommend paying the additional £29.95 to purchase the 9-month extended warranty.

That laptop would be fine for everything except Rome 2 and shogun 2. Both of those games especially Rome 2 are somewhat tough to run and I doubt a nvidia 820m will be enough to give a good experience in either of those games.

Just been told we have to go with PCWORLD.

1080p screen, and about an equiv processor and equiv iGPU compared to the 820m.

Are you sure about shogun 2? It ran on an i3 fine 2ish years ago with intel HD graphics.

I would still recommend the asus due to the strong cpu. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't say which i7 it is. But either way it will be better than the amd a10.
