I'm a long time console gamer and have decided to skip the ps4 and xbox and switch to pc gaming.I know a gaming laptop isn't ideal but I don't have the time to build a good desktop or skill set(im not very tech savvy) or much room to work work(I already have a laptop and enjoy gaming on it more than my desktop,it just doesn't run a whole lot).So far I have been eyeing up the new alienware 15(2015) but have stumbled across a few forums where people basically consider alienware the devil. Is there any other laptops I should consider in this price range and seeing as im not tech savvy..how good is the alienware 15 in regards to running new games and being able to keep up over the next 2 years
Ps.I'm getting the i5 version if I get it

The above Asus and MSI laptops are certainly good for playing games since they have a powerful GPU; the GTX 970m.

If I were to get a gaming laptop though, I would like get the HP Omen 15. It is not quite as powerful as the other laptops since it only have a GTX 860m GPU, but it is very light at about 4.7lbs and has a less gaudy look to it so that I can bring into the office if that ever became a necessity. It is currently selling for $1,400 at Amazon.

Asus and MSI make some great laptops. For $1,500 you will be able to get decent gaming performance. $1,500 in a desktop pc would get you exceptional performance though. But for that money in a laptop you should be able to get equal to the gaming level of the ps4 and xbox one.

Here are some good ones:
