🙁 I can't figure out how to block others from using my router and I forgot my password.

Read the manual for the default password and change it. and chance the wireless password as well(use WPA if you can and avoid WEP). If you have a one touch connect button, Turn that off as well it is able to be used as a doorway in.

OR read the manual for instructions to reset it then chance the password.

almost every router models instructions can be found with good old google

Not really. There are ways to reset router settings many times.

And it is just like ejecting a cd/dvd without power

I once made the mistake to tell someone to "reset" a wireless bridge.

Big mistake.
