2.1 or 2.0 audio setup for a desktop and a small room

Hi guys.
I'm looking into buying a decent speaker sistem for my desktop. I have a small room, 10-12 sqm . I'm not an audiophile but i'll use it for house music, movies, some ocasional gaming.
From the 2.1 cathegory i've done chosen the Edifier M3200

As for the 2.0 cathegory, i've found that nothing beats Microlab in the budget monitor class.
I was looking at these

The Microlab is a little more expensive but i've learned that a stereo monitor system has better sound, in the mids and hi's but not so much in the lows. They take up less space and look better.

Can you help me choose ? Thanks.

I have not heard either one but just looking at them the Microlab will be much better sounding with the possible exception of deep bass. The quality of the bass may be better in the Microlab even without the sub that the edifier has because the woofers in the satellites seem to be much smaller. You could add a sub to the Microlab later so I would go for those.

The level of bass of the Microlab was my main concern, as i like a little bass with my funky/deep house tunes, and movies. I'm definitely not into the extra-bass hip hop stuff, that's for sure.
I don't have the possibility of testing either of them, as they are only available for purchase online.
How is it possible to attach a sub later on ? Would it be another box with a low freq speaker + amp ( active subwoofer ) , which connects to another jack port on the soundcard ?

Sorry, i'm a noob when it comes to audio hardware 😀

For example, i've been offered a suggestion to look at this bad boy. It has the right output to connect those speakers to it directly.
But now, for me , the mystery gets deeper ) Is there any problem in particular with hooking up two active speakers to a active Sub ? Versus the passive speakers + active sub option.
It would mean that the speakers would be powered by two separate amp's...right ?

You can connect the powered speakers and a powered sub to your sound card and set your audio driver for a 2.1 setup rather then a 2.0 setup. The sub in the link is designed for passive satellite speakers and has 3 amps in it.
I doubt that the sub in the edifier is very good so ultimately I would get a real self powered sub later.

When it comes to 2.1 sounded home system, then I think there is no way to beat Logitech Z623... with 200w RMS...

They r the best in 2.1 and nearly costs u around 100$ acc to US currency...
I don't know if Edifier lie in these price budget or not...

I was admirring to have these z623, but all there is distance b/w that nd me is Money... 😛

They costs me aroud 8000 INR and I Took F&D f680 70W RMS FOR 4000 INR...
