I have 2 desktop PC's (1 Linux Mint and 1 Windows XP) both using the same monitor. A few years ago I had a forked HDMI cable that had 2 inputs for the PC's and 1 output for the monitor. This was a solid cable, not a splitter or switch. A thick, flat blue ribbon cable about 3/4 of an inch wide. I lost this in a move and want to find another. I have tried several splitter/switches but every one has failed, usually within the 1st month. Sometimes a port goes bad. Sometimes the switch itself goes bad. But I've burned enough money on these things. I want my solid cable back. Does anyone know where I can find another such forked HDMI cable?

Why not just use a KVM?
Actually the last one I tried was a UGreen HDMI KVM. It lasted 3 weeks. I'm told by techs I trust that consumer level HDMI KVM's are kinda hit or miss. And that if I want to use a KVM, I need to use a VGA. But I want HDMI. And I really don't want to get into $100+ device just to switch which computer I'm feeding to the monitor. Before I spend that much, I can hook up another monitor which I have. But that is inconvenient. A $30 cable I can live with.
