I have a turntable and speakers that both have built in preamp. Is that a problem?

A turntable PHONO preamp is a different animal than a plain old preamp.

If you are saying: turntable --->Phono Preamp---->Self Powered Speakers. This is OK.

Yes - my phono with preamp is plugged into my powered speakers with volume controlled via speakers. Just wanted to be sure this wouldn’t affect performance or sound quality. Also may replace turntable and wasn’t sure whether to get another one with built in preamp or not given that the speakers have one.
