2 RAID HD Laptop?

Is there a laptop out there that has two striped hard drives? I know that SSDs are much faster, but there also much more expensive. A striped duo disk would also be faster than a stock laptop, but should be cheaper than the SSD solution.

Or is there a DIY laptop solution?

Sure, there are some gaming notebooks and high-end "professional", workstation-class notebooks that support more than one HDD and RAID.

What is your budget?

Try Xoticpc or go straight to Sager. Would still be more effective to just live with the smaller SSD.
