[citation][nom]gamerjames[/nom]Well, I live in the USA and like most people I'm not concerned in the least about soccer.[/citation]
[citation][nom]gamerjames[/nom]My comment was valid, American's typically don't care about soccer. Lol the euro got mad ;D[/citation]
[citation][nom]gamerjames[/nom]No homrqt, plenty of american's hate soccer.[/citation]

you are are definitly flying your "i'm a stuck up american " flag today.. only thing i dislike about our country is the fact that half the poeple in it are like you , and think only your OPINION matters. and more than half the time you are WRONG, there ARE plenty of US soccer fans , just becuase a majority of americans prefer this or that sport over soccer doesn't mean they dislike soccer , then there are plenty of americans that like soccer more than other sports even. so go blow your attitude out your ass and stop tryign to make all americans look like egotistical jack asses liek yourself .. be cause we are not all that bad .. even if you are 😛

[citation][nom]sblax2000[/nom]Interesting to read the number of people who don't care about soccer who still felt the need to not only read the article but also respond...as if they cared. Good luck from California to the US and UK in this matchup, it should be an interesting battle as the US improves each year. Cheers.[/citation]
The US has a great team, I'm still not over the fact that they won against Spain during the Confederations Cup. I am bitter about worldcup new though because my native country did not made it after proving it was among the best in its confederation.

I'm still not very pleased about the Republic of Ireland being unceremoniously dumped out at the hands of a cheat who was considered a French footballing legend, but (if you'll excuse the pun) you can't win all the time.

I know so little about soccer I couldn't have told you it was a three-dimensional sport in the first place. My knowledge of soccer ends at the Pong variant for the Atari.

[citation][nom]longerlife[/nom]Interesting how Americans call football some horrible copycat game of rugby when clearly soccer (as you call it) has a lot more to do with feet connecting with balls... That is why the rest of the world calls it football, it being by FAR the most popular sport
globally. That is apart from the States where it is almost completely ignored (presumably because you are no good at it).[/citation]

its pretty much because it sucks. Im not one of the 10 fans in america but i also dont like football anyways. i would preffer to watch soccer over football but i also rather gougue my eyes out before being subjected to either.

Soccer seems like a good sport for showing off what 3D can do. I'm not a huge soccer fan, but still find it disappointing that 3D won't be offered in the US. Too bad, because that would probably help kick start the domestic 3D television market.

[citation][nom]Silverblue[/nom]It's a shame that some of you Americans aren't interested in soccer (I feel dirty just typing that word, being British) because your national team is rather good at it and could do with the support.[/citation]
Why would you feel dirty? It was a British man who came up with the word, Americans popularized it (cause football was already in use) but you created it.

Football or soccer as we Americans call it is a wonderful sport. It's played around the world by a plethora of different people and cultures. American football or just football as it's known here is a fun sport as well with obvious rugby roots. They are two great sports and should be respected, however, to compare American football to the football that is played GLOBALLY is just plain ignorance. Also not all Americans hate football(soccer) it's growing in popularity at the college level which will hopefully help it grow in a National league atmosphere. As a proud American I would love to see my nation start to compete at an international level with this sport.

I find watching both football and am football as interesting as watching a painted wall dry.
But in 3D even that might be interesting.

I think soccer is an ok sport, but for me, the biggest drawback is that if I have to watch a sporting event, I like to hear actual sounds from the game. Not only commentators and roaring fans--I wanna hear the ball being kicked around, feet shuffling in the grass, the grunts and groans as the players fight for possession, I wanna hear the sound of the goalie blocking a shot in mid air. Without some audible feedback from the ground level, it's just not quite as fun to watch on tv, IMHO.
