Solved! 3.5mm switch or...?

I have an HDMI ARC out and a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio out on my tv.
My receiver does not have an HDMI input so I'm stuck feeding it with the 3.5mm. Thing is, this cheap tv will not allow me to switch between the tv speakers and the headphone out jack, so I have to plug in or unplug and that's just not feasible. Is there an inexpensive switch I can use on the 3.5mm line? I saw some switches for ~$15 but I want something cheaper. Like a simple 2-3 foot cable with an in-line switch.
Or maybe a optical to rca adapter. Even though that would be a set it and forget it, I'd rather not have yet another item to plug in.

Sure you can use an optical adapter, but can you swap between that and the TV speakers if you can't the headphone jack?

An optical out adapter will cost las much as that switch you don't want to pay for.
