Question 32 ram: it's been a long time, is there anyone here that's good at recommending best laptops here? laptops are better than building a small pc

here's an update of what is needed

i want a list of laptop recommendations that:

  1. has 16g ram
  2. or 32g ram
  3. or is easily upgradable to 32g ram (easily upgradable is like 1-click or press to open laptop)
thats the main requirement

and from that list ill the lowest cost option

these are things preferred, they arent required:

  1. large res
  2. large screen size
  3. ppi >120 to >180
  4. ideally a display ratio close/near to 1:1
from the list of recommendations, ill pick the best that comes nearest to these 4 points

old post

full complete requirements for the best laptop
  1. verifiably good - has analysis, tests, and reviews where most sites says it's good
  2. has max upgradable ram of 16-32 ram, or has that amount of ram in it already
  3. is good value - has analysis, tests, and reviews where most sites says it's good value for the base price
  4. is no more than 1 or 2 years old since newer ones are likely to be better
anyone good at recommending a list of laptops that fits the basic requirements above?
from that list of good laptops that fits the requirements above, then am going with a good resolution + large screen size

building a mini pc was not the way to go:

dunno why this site makes you make another account even tho i think it's from the same company
it prob has different users that knows more on the topic of laptops tho

discussion on readability of 2560 x 1440 here:

it's one way to narrow down the list of recommendations later on

The sites are related (TH and TG), but now managed separately.

You really didn't have to start a new thread here to continue your discussion.

Most laptops are going be 1920x1080.

Is your intended laptop to be used for gaming, productivity, general use, etc?

Is battery life a big deal?
