5.1 Surround Sound From Laptop

How Can I Get 5.1 Surround Sound From Laptop Without Using HDMI Cable? My Home Theater Has 5.1 DVD Output Audio System But For Laptop Or Other Devices It Only Came With Aux Cable . But Aux Cable Is Providing 2.0 Audio Only. My Laptop Has HDMI Output & Input But Not My Home Theater .

Can you please state the make and model of your Home Theatre System? Often times they do and don't come with the necessary connections to allow for components outside of it's own brand to connect to it. I'm curious to know the make and model of your laptop, since you've mentioned it has an HDMI output as well as an HDMI input port.

If you can't list the make and model of your Home Theatre System, might want to shoot us a picture of all the connections the unit has.

The only way I know is to use one of these devices [link below] that match your laptop output. HDMI will not let you just use audio output. This will not true 5.1 SS but close you can get without those connections.

This Is My Sound System . And My Laptop Is HP Envy 15-K005tx , Sound Card - Realtek High Definition Audio With Beats Audio Support. All The Laptop Specifications Are Default , Nothing Modified .
