I've been living in the UK for a while now, and want to pick up a laptop that i will need for school and gaming(mostly gaming). Money isn't really a problem for me, as i think a computer is a good investment and i spend only my own money. But i don't want to spend more than 600 pounds though.
Looking through all kinds of shops like currys, ebay, amazon, and a lot more, i haven't found a single decent and relatively cheap laptop. But then i found pcspecialist. Where you can basically modify your own laptop, but with very limited choices.
I've made a -
15,6 inch 1080p
8gb ddr3 1600mhz Ram
gtx 765m GPU
and Intel pentium dual core 3550m.

Judging from some benchmarks the gtx 765m is around the same performance as desktop HD 7770 and the 3550m is around the same as AMD A-10 4600m.
Would these specs be good enough to support atleast medium graphics on 1080p with the latest games? Im mostly worried about the CPU, but this was the cheapest I could get, with i7-4700mq it's about 750 pounds and that's too much for me.

Oh by the way -
I could also wait like 2 months till I get back to my country and pick up a
1366x768 15,6inch
HD 8850m
i5-4200u
8gb 1600mhz dd3
for about 530 pounds.
The GPU is around the same as HD 7750, so a bit weaker than GTX 765m, and the i5 is probably a bit faster than the 3550m.
But i don't know if it's worth to pay 70 pounds more for the gtx 765m and if it will give more performance given the fact that it will be 1080p resolution not 1366x768.
fcuk, im just lost.. -.-

in both cases cpu is weak ,but 1st option has better high end gpu but it will be bottlenecked by its miserable cpu ,however 2nd laptop has better cpu but its weakest 4th gen i seen it has 8850m which cannot be matched with gtx 765m ...8850m is weaker however its good gpu and this model wont bottleneck u so i suggest 2nd one

Hmm, yeah, that's what I was thinking too.
But the performance should be similar for both of them if i would play it at the native resolutions, right? That is gtx 765m with 1080p and 8850m with 1366x768?
