8 i k comma on keyboard and 0 on number pad do not work on Toshiba Satellite C55 B5353. Sometimes when i type the "i" it types a "b". need solution. external keyboard works fne

It seems like a problem with the keyboard itself already but do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug its AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try it again.
- If it doesn't work proceed with uninstalling/reinstalling the keyboard driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the keyboard driver.
- Reboot your laptop once the uninstalled and it should reinstall the driver automatically upon reboot.
- If these will not work your last option would be to reinstall Windows because if that doesn't work you'll need to replace the keyboard.

Do I turn off the computer before removing the battery?
Do I plug the ac adaptor back in before or after pressing and holding the power button for20 seconds?
