a/b speakers keeps clicking on/off

If the receiver is going into protection the problem could be
1. You could have a short in one of the speaker wires
2. You could have a bad speaker or speakers.
3. If it only happens when you try to use both pairs of speakers then the combined impedance is too low for the receiver. You will need an external speaker selector with impedance matching.
