My friend just bought an A8 laptop. He can play crysis 2 and ass creed pretty well. He even playing far cry 3 and the famous crysis 3. Both of them are playable with decent FPS.

Yes, A8 is a good APU, with affordable price range. The RAM should be enough, so you dont need to spend additional bucks for upgrading it.

My only suggestion is you should buy a decent cooler if you're going to use your laptop for heavy/long time gaming, Cooler master U2 is a great choice for $20.
