About adding an HDD (need some hard advice)

Hey everyone,
So I bought an Acer Nitro 5 for work as well as for gaming. The thing is, it only has a 256GB SSD. And as all you guys know, SSDs are not for gaming (just GTA 5 and the Witcher 3 took almost all of it). So i opened up one of the back "doors", and I noticed a free HDD slot. The thing is, I don't know what type it is (ATA, SATA, or IDE), what size it has to be, if it is compatible or not, so I need you guys to tell me what to do to get the information and what to do to fill up that juicy slot. Here is an HDD I found on amazon that I hope is good:

Here are some pictures of the slot:

P.S.: I'm new here so I may have posted this in the wrong category, so anyone feel free to move it, I'm sure all of you understand.

Yes one will work. Some of the 7mm drives even come with a spacer for use in a 9.5mm space.

That should accept any standard 2.5" SATA drive.
The only thing you have to take note of is the thickness.
Laptop drives come in 2 thicknesses. 7mm and 9.5mm.

A 7mm drive will work in a slot designed for a 7mm OR a 9.5mm.
A 9.5mm drive will not fit into a space meant for a 7mm drive.

It may tell you this in your user manual.

I just the read the whole user manual but there's nothing about the compartment details. it just says I can add some storage. I'll check the thickness of my compartment. Btw is the amazon HDD compatible with my laptop ? (Other than the thickness)

EDIT: I don't have a ruler on me (yes weird i know) but I'm pretty sure it's a 9mm deep compartment. So since the one I linked on amazon is 7mm thick it should slide in perfectly. But what about the speed of the HDD, is it good enough for game load times ?
