Acer aspire 1640 crashing

Hi I have a acer aspire laptop that keeps shutting virtually imeadiately after booting up.

When I switch on the laptop I get this message
PCI Network Conflict on motherboard Bus;06,Device;08,Function;00

I have to bypass this using f1 key to boot up windows Xp the boot sequence completes and windows shutdown and restarts automaticaly back to original Pci message.

Has anyone got any advice on what I can do to try and solve this problem.
