First, thank you for your help!
I have an Acer Aspire 5532 that I am trying to keep running. I know it's old but I really can't afford new or even 'pawn shop new' at this moment. I just ordered a battery online ,only $12 hope it's legit.. I am hoping this will fix speed as well as other things. My battery indicator does tell me to 'consider replacing my battery' even though it's 100% charged.
I noticed I have 4 or 5 open memory slots. Would it be worth my money/effort to buy one of these to keep my laptop running? Or is this just too old to keep up with technology?. I know a bit about computers. I have CC Cleaner & Malware Bytes to keep it fairly clean so would it be worth my while for a memory card or 2? I am a casual user - FB, GMail, Farm Hero Saga, Candy Crush - that's about it.
Any advice would be very helpful!
Happy Belated Halloween!

Solution
A new battery won't speed it up, though it will improve battery life.

My battery indicator does tell me to 'consider replacing my battery' even though it's 100% charged.
100% charged means the battery is as full as it can be. It doesn't mean the battery is 100% healthy.

Most laptops have only two memory slots, some four. None have six.

Most likely, the heatsink and fan is full of dust. Fix that and they usually run way faster.

Please help me through this process or give me a link I can trust. My keyboard is starting to act up as well.
Also, I am replacing the battery. I just found a new one cheap. But do you think I should get memory as well? You are correct! My computer has 4 slots & then it looked like a memory slot at first from what I read but it was something different I have not heard of before & of course I can't find it again but here are some of my specs. Any advice would be very appreciated!
