Acer Aspire 7551-3464 no power

I have a 15 pound rock here I believe? This has no power. Took battery out and plugged in ... Also no power, no light or nothing! Is this thing junk or is there a solution? Please help just trying to help a friend out. Thanks

I have this huge rock I believe? It has no power, no lights, nothing! Took battery out and help power button down for about two minutes and nothing. Took battery out and just plugged in and still nothing. Is there a fix for this? Please help thanks
