Acer Aspire 8530

Hey,

I have an Acer Aspire 8530 (yes it is old), makes a lot of noise and is huge, but...i love this thing for some reason.
It overheats quite fast and the AC Adapter is getting super hot. What to do about that? What might be the cause?

Another thing is that i do want to put in a compatible new graphics card, cause I'm one of the few lucky people who can easily acces both processor and graphics card.
Do any of you have a suggestion of what card i can buy or what to look for exactly when I'm searching for a compatible card? And no i don't want to buy a new laptop (yet)

Specs that i can think of that might be relevant:
- Mobility Radeon HD 3650, DDR2, 256MB, 128bit bus width, s1g2 socket
- Processor: AMD Turion Ultra ZM-87.
- 4gb Ram
- 64bit Windows 7

Hi,

First, for the overheating problem I would suggest cleaning the inside of it. Clean the dust off the cooling fans with a compressed air then apply new thermal paste on the CPU and GPU.
