Acer Aspire E5-575G-53VG Headphones Static Noise

I bought a new Acer Aspire E5-575G-53VG about a week ago. Ever since I got it, whenever I plug in headphones there is a static noise. It seems to get worse the more power the activity requires (like when I load an HD YouTube video, play a graphics intensive game). It also gets worse when the AC adapter is plugged in. It's really annoying

NOTE: It is quiet normal for heaphones plugged into a computer, when not playing any kind of sounds, to have a static like sound on them.

Here are some things to try.

1. Make sure that the wires for your headphones do not come into contact with other wires going in and out of the computer. Anything it touches that can have any kind of electrical current can cause noise in the headphones.

2. Try a different headphone jack, if you have more than one.

3. Try a different set of headphones and see if they have the same sound problem.

4. Plug the headphones into a different device and see if you get the same sound issues. If so, it may be within the speakers themselves.issue.

5. Connect the headphones through a USB connection (this will require an adapter for standard plug heaphones) and see if the problem goes away. If so, it may be the headphone jack on the laptop that is the

6. Upgrade your headphones. All recorded audio has a degree of noise or static; how obvious it is to the listener depends on the quality of the media it’s recorded on, the playback technology and the listening device. Replacing your headphones with a noise-reducing or noise-canceling set could clear up the problem.

7. Worst case, if the problem happens with multiple headphones, you may need to replace the sound card.

Hi, so I tried my Apple earphones on the computer and there was no static. It is still present when I use my main headphones (Sennheiser Momentums). I even tried a different cable for the Momentums and the static was still there. I have tried my Momentums on lots of other devices including my previous laptop and they were fine.

The static isn't only present when I play audio, it's all the time. For instance, right now if I open up a new tab and go to a website there is quite a bit of static but it becomes much more bearable as the page loads. When it gets bad enough I can hear it in the background of audio. Thanks for your help

If it is only happening with those headphones, it could be they are more sensitive than the others. Sadly better headphones can have a problem in that area. Any sound the average headphones won't pick up, they do.

If it is only happening with that one pair, I don't think there would be a way around the issue. Again, I must mention that if you have them on, without any sound playing (just loading a page as you mentioned above) then hearing static is really normal. I get that if I have no sounds playing and headphones in.

You could try talking to the laptops manufacturer and see if they can perhaps replace the jack.
