Hi,
Please help. I tried using my HD webCam for skype but it could not be detected. Can someone explain what happened and how do I fix this?

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to uninstall/reinstall the Webcam driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Webcam driver.
- Once completely uninstalled, reboot your laptop and it should reinstall the driver automatically.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- If the same problem will persist do check the settings of Skype as well.
- Click on Tools tab then select Options.
- Click on Video settings and check if the webcam will be listed or not.
- If it's listed select it and test it again.
- If it will still not work and if the webcam worked before try doing a System Restore.

- And lastly, if all these will not work, last option would be to reinstall Windows.
