Acer aspire keyboard not responding

Hello,my laptop was plugged in to a projector and still on when someone shut down projector and unplugged it. Now my keyboard does not respond at all. The computer is locked and I cannot type in my password to get into the desktop!!!!!

Hold down the power button, shut it off, turn it back on. If you have any unsaved work it will be lost however.
