Acer aspire v5 144p wont turn on

When plugged in it will show that it is charging, but wont turn on. Recently though, whenever i plugged it in and tried to turn it on, the charging light will blink five times fast, and wont do anything. So i disconnected the battery and held the power buttin down for 30 minutes. Plugged battery back in, still nothing. Unplugged battery, plugged in ac power adapter, and it started right up. So i pligged the battery back in, and as soon as i did, it shut down. How do i fix this?

Sounds like you need to replace the battery.
